Trans+Connect Rural Edition

Rural Trans Alliance CIC is proud to host a monthly Trans+Connect Rural Edition in partnership with Not A Phase, creating a regular online space for trans and gender-diverse people living in rural, remote and semi-rural communities.

For many trans people living outside major towns and cities, accessing LGBT+ community can mean travelling long distances, relying on limited local provision, or simply having very few opportunities to meet others with similar experiences. The Trans+Connect Rural Edition is designed to help reduce that isolation by offering a welcoming and accessible space to connect from wherever you are.

The sessions take place online at 7pm on the first Monday each month and are open to trans and gender-diverse people from rural communities across the UK. There is no expectation to arrive with anything prepared or to take part in a particular way. The aim is simply to create space for conversation, connection and community.

The partnership with Not A Phase forms part of Rural Trans Alliance’s wider commitment to building sustainable community infrastructure for rural trans people, alongside our work in advocacy, research, practical resources and policy engagement.

Whether you live in a village, small town, farming community or somewhere far from your nearest LGBT+ venue, Trans+Connect Rural Edition is a chance to meet others, share experiences and be part of a wider rural trans community.

Further information about attending can be found on Not A Phase’s Eventbrite platform.
